We all have that one friend that sets NYE resolutions and never sticks to them (we may possibly be that friend). So, we have listed a few achievable resolutions for you to get stuck into for 2019.

Flexatarianism

Flexatarianism/reducetarianism is a new concept that took off in the year 2018 and is looking to become a lot more popular in 2019. It involves ‘weekday vegetarianism’ or any day vegetarianism for that matter. Eating less meat can have a positive impact in terms of costs and benefits. It can be as simple as choosing a bean burrito over a chicken one or having pasta without the meatballs once a week. Head to Why Eat Less Meat's website to find out more.

Top tip: all of our products are veggie friendly, including our 100% vegan Alcoholic Cocktail Gummies & our F.I.Z.Z.

Drinking less

Many studies have shown that Millennials are drinking less, and that they are craving innovation, surprise & delight. Thank god for us, eh? Just because your New Year’s Resolution is to drink less doesn’t mean you can’t eat less! We eat our drink… just saying.

If you want to avoid alcohol altogether, our product F.I.Z.Z. is perfect for those times when everyone else is drinking. F.I.Z.Z. can be used in alcohol, and just as well in a glass of soda! This means when everyone else is using their F.I.Z.Z. for their prosecco, you can join in on the fun by turning your soda into an Elderflower Spritz creation! Head over to our catalog to find out more about our 3 flavours of Cocktail F.I.Z.Z.

Less Procrastinating

The biggest barrier that stops most people from reaching their goals or being proactive is the desire to relax and so something/anything else instead of working towards that goal. A cool tool to reduce procrastination is called ‘strict workflow’. It is a plug in that employs the Pomodoro technique; focus for 25 minutes then reward yourself with a sanity-saving 5 min break. A simple click on the tiny tomato starts the timer which sits in the corner of your screen. Specific sites can also be blacklisted and whitelisted during sessions! 2019 is going to be a productive year for us. Watch this space.

Look after yourself

Arguably the most important New Year’s resolution for us this year. It is so important to look after yourself (mentally & physically). There are so many small but effective steps to take, e.g. get more quality sleep. It is hard to get enough sleep at night these days with TV’s, laptops, smartphones, tablets and all sorts of gadgets with glowing lights and beeping alerts, however you should be gunning for at least 8 hours of sleep a night.

Learning to be happier with your life and reducing stress are two more big ones. They say that stress is one of the biggest killers out there, and it can have a very destructive effect on your relationships as well as your health. The ultimate goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation and fun and the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head on. However, stress management is not one-size-fits-all. It is important to experiment and find out works best for you.

In the office one of our top tips is to take a quick 10 minute break and play a game, such as charades! A small but effective method.
