Seedlip will launch a new aperitif brand in January 2019 which is thought to be the world’s first non-alcoholic apéritif range. Aecorn will have 3 new expressions and is inspired by the ‘European aperitif tradition’ and English herbal remedies from the 17th century. Each expression will be produced from English grapes and aromatised with herbs, roots and bitter botanicals. The range is to provide ‘adult, complex options to enjoy with food’, and will be perfect for Dry January!

Exercise your way through Dry January

A 2015 study showed that half of all people who attempt Dry January have fallen off the wagon by mid-Jan. There are small but proactive things to do to combat Dry January, such as aerobic exercise. This not only helps your brain to recover from heavy drinking, and just ten minutes can kibosh a wine craving.

Apparently crying, (yes, a toddler style bawl) will release chemicals that product cortisol, the stress hormone - literally lowering stress. This won’t be a problem when you're one week in and your friend brings round a box of Alcoholic Cocktail Gummies to share - oops. Listening to podcasts and reading are also great motivational techniques.
