We’ve teamed up with cocktail specialist Inka Kukkamaki, the mind behind On The Sauce Again, to bring you a cocktail dedicated to our Pear & Vanilla Edible Fragrance. Inka is no stranger when it comes to creating the most delicious of cocktails, so she’s gone wild with her imagination and created the perfect tipple to enjoy this Autumn.

Spicy Pear Sour Cocktail Recipe


50ml Gin

20ml Lemon

35ml Spicy pear syrup* (adjust to taste)

Egg white



2 Cardamom pods

Cinnamon stick

Ground fennel (can be replaced with star anise)





Smith & Sinclair Pear & Vanilla Edible Fragrance


  1. To make the syrup simply add sugar, water, two cardamom pods, small cinnamon stick, ground fennel and slices of pear to a saucepan, bring to boil and stir until sugar has dissolved.
  2. Take off the heat, cover with a lid and leave to sit for an hour. Strain and let it cool.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and dry shake. Add ice and shake again.
  4. Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with some cinnamon.
  5. Spray the cocktail twice with Smith & Sinclair Vanilla & Pear Edible Fragrance for an extra sweetness.
